The Ho Dynasty Citadel, which was built in 1397, is considered the only remaining stone citadel in Southeast Asia and one of the very few in the world.

After being hitted by impacts of storms and heavy rain, the north wall of the Ho Dynasty Citadel in Vinh Loc District of Thanh Hoa Province has been significantly damaged.
