On April 2 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, in coordination with the Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organization Affairs, held the 2026 Information Sharing Conference with foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs), aiming to promptly provide updates and operational orientations for organizations working in Viet Nam.

On the afternoon of December 4 in Hanoi, the 5th International Conference on Cooperation between Vietnam and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), themed “Partnership for Prosperity and Sustainable Development,” concluded after a full day of discussions. The Conference identified four orientations for the next phase, emphasizing the need to strengthen mobilization effectiveness, shift from scattered to focused geographical areas, improve the legal environment, and enhance staff capacity to meet Vietnam’s requirements for sustainable and prosperous development.

Nearly USD 224 million in aid was given to Vietnam in the following areas: solving social problems, health care, and socio-economic development. This is one of the outstanding results of international non-governmental organization (INGOs) work in 2022, which was acknowledged at the meeting to review INGOs work in 2022 and discuss the 2023 direction and tasks held by the Committee for Foreign Non-governmental Organisation Affairs (COMINGO) in Hanoi on Feb. 17.

Many international non-government organisations (INGOs) have shared the view that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO)’s companionship and support contribute to allocating aid packages to people quickly and effectively. The organizations have also proposed a number of solutions and initiatives to better the work in the time ahead.
