Within the framework of the workshop “Introduction to the Méndez Principles: Principles for Effective Interviewing in Investigation and Information Gathering,” held on December 11 in Quang Ninh, experts and international delegates discussed the scientific foundations and potential application of these principles to improve the quality of investigations, in line with Viet Nam’s international commitments.

On December 11 in Quang Ninh, the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Viet Nam, organized a workshop titled “Introduction to the Méndez Principles - Principles for Effective Interviewing in Investigations and Information Gathering.” The event aimed to continue implementing the Party and State’s guidelines on ensuring human rights and enforcing the United Nations Convention against Torture (CAT).
