The national flagpole’s inauguration on Thanh Lan Island (Co To District, Quang Ninh province) carries important meanings in terms of affirming the sacred sovereignty over the sea and islands of the homeland.

The event helps deepen the countries’ relationship in the context of their enhanced economic, political, cultural, and diplomatic cooperation.

Along with a Vietnamese flag, the foreign athlete also brought many souvenirs representing the love from his Vietnamese fans, like the signature Vietnam pith helmet.
