
Pedro de Oliveira: From Lecture Halls of São Paulo to Bridge Connecting Vietnam and Brazil

In 1968, at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), a screening of films about the war in Vietnam marked a turning point in the life of freshman Pedro de Oliveira. From that moment, he began a lifelong journey of attachment to a country on the other side of the globe. For more than half a century, Pedro de Oliveira has been a journalist and historian devoted to researching Vietnam, while also serving as a tireless “bridge” connecting the peoples of the two countries, contributing to the development of Vietnam-Brazil friendship.
