At the friendship meeting on August 18, members of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association shared their cherished memories of Hungary and offered heartfelt suggestions for maintaining the two countries' ties. Their reflections on Hungarian cuisine, culture, and music have contributed to the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Hungary across generations.

Over the past 40 years, Assoc. Prof., PhD., translator Vu Ngoc Can (pen name: Vu Thanh Xuan) has constantly attempted to introduce Hungarian culture and literature to Vietnamese readers and Vietnamese culture to Hungarian friends.

The Consulate General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in collaboration with the HCMC Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association in HCMC organized a ceremony to mark the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Hungary diplomatic relations on the evening of February 24.

Between January 26, 1973, and May 9, 1975, Hungary sent 636 military and civilian personnel, border guards, and diplomats to Vietnam for peacekeeping operations.

Apart from the diplomatic ties, Hungary attaches importance to economic links with Vietnam, First Officer of the Hungarian National Assembly Márta Mátrai said on January 20 during her working visit to Vietnam.
