According to statistics from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the first quarter of 2025 marked a historic milestone for the country’s tourism industry, welcoming more than 6 million international arrivals — the highest ever recorded in a single quarter. This figure represents a 29.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024 and more than double the number seen in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

President of the Italian Government Tourist Board (ENIT) Alessandra Priante has described Vietnam tourism as a rising star in Italy at a tourism promotion programme held on June 27.

Vietnam aims to welcome 17-18 million international tourists by 2024, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).

As many as 1.11 million international tourists visited Vietnam in October, making the fourth consecutive month that the country has served more than 1 million foreign visitors.
