The two leaders are scheduled to witness the signing of several cooperation documents following their talks.
President Trump arrived at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport on late February 26 for his second summit with Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un, who arrived in Vietnam earlier the same day.
Trump was welcomed by Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Chairman of the Hanoi city People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam, Vice Chairman of the President’s Office Chu Van Yem, and Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc.
This is the second time the US President has come to Vietnam. In November 2017, he paid an official visit to Vietnam and attended the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in the central coastal city of Da Nang./.
