Tra Vinh province: Over VND21 billion invested in expanding running water system

In 2015, the Tra Vinh provincial Centre for Water and Rural Environmental Hygiene has invested over VND21 billion to expand the running water network for rural residents.

Towards this goal, the centre has invested in the upgrade or expansion of 8 water constructions in different communes across the province.

Bui Van Mung, Director of the centre, said that together with the upgrade and expansion of water plants, the centre is disbursing VND4 billion to repair 33 water supply constructions, ensuring the supply of safe water to nearly 2,000 rural families.

Over 77,000 families in the province are using running water, accounting for 78% of the province’s families./.
