Two months: Binh Lieu district welcomed over 9,000 visitors
The border district of Binh Lieu in Quang Ninh province in the past two months welcomed 9,620 visitors to the Khe Van, Khe Tien and Song Mooc A falls, Luc Na communal house, Hoanh Mo border gate and some other locations along the border area.
In which, overnight visitors numbered around 3,405, while the number of daily travellers was 6,215.
Statistics in 2015 showed that turnover from the tourism sector in Binh Lieu district accounted for over VND10 billion, serving around 27,000 visitors (2,100 ones enjoying overnight tours). It has actively promoted the natural landscape and beautiful scenic sites with typical features from local ethnic minority groups, as well as traditional specialties.
Besides, Resolution 92 (December 8th, 2014) of the Government on some solutions to promote the development of Vietnam’s tourism sector in the new period also positively supported the locality in fostering its “non-smoke” industry.
In the coming time, Binh Lieu should carry out practical programs to develop the tourism sector, as well as preserving and upholding the cultural values of ethnic groups, and taking special measures to ensure national defence and security.
This year, it set a plan to welcome over 3 million visitors, with a growth rate of 18% per year./.
