Two Vietnamese PhDs listed top 100 Asian scientists 2018
Vietnam has two names in the list of top 100 Asian scientists 2018. They are Prof. Dr. Phan Thanh Son Nam, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Sum, Quy Nhon University.
Phan Thanh Son Nam was one of two scientists awarded the 2017 Tạ Quang Bửu Awards for his work on molecular catalysts in organic transformation.

Nguyen Sum was recognized with the 2017 Tạ Quang Bửu Award for his research on the Peterson hit problem, an open problem in polynomial algebra.
Phan Thanh Son Nam is known as the youngest professor in Vietnam in 2015 when he was only 36 years old.
Asian Scientist 100 is annual listing of the region’s top researchers, academics and innovators, announced by Asian Scientist Magazine.
Nguyen Sum was recognized with the 2017 Tạ Quang Bửu Award for his research on the Peterson hit problem, an open problem in polynomial algebra.
