Two Vietnamese scholars listed in top 5% economics researchers

(VNF) – Two Vietnamese scholars, Prof. Nguyen Duc Khuong and Dr. Nguyen Viet Cuong are recently listed in the top 5% among 55,000 authors in economic research by the renowned research site RePEc.

In details, Prof. Nguyen Duc Khuong was ranked at 2,185 place while his fellow Dr. Nguyen Viet Cuong was ranked at 2,516 place in the top economics researchers in July.

Prof. Khuong, lecturer of the IPAG Business School, France, is also one of the members of Prime Minister's newly-established economic consulting team.

In the year 2015, he was ranked # 7 in RePec's top 200 young economists.

According to statistic by RePec, Prof. Khuong has published 62 working papers and 82 journal articles in 9 years (2008-2017).

Meanwhile, Dr. Nguyen Viet Cuong (researcher at the Institute of Mekong Development Research & lecturer of the National Economics University of Vietnam) has published totally 95 working papers and 50 journal articles between 2002 and July 2017.

The top 5% authors comprise 2,528 economists globalwide.

It is ranked monthly by RePec according to 11 criteria, including number of distinct works, number of works being cited in others' research, number of abstract views and number of downloads.

RePEc (Research Papers in Economics) was launched in 1997, sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (US), is a collaborative effort of hundreds of volunteers in 93 countries to enhance the dissemination of research in economics and related sciences.

Besides releasing ranking of inpidual authors, RePec also publishes ranking according to economics cohorts./.
