Six Pillar Areas to Develop Vietnam-Australia Bilateral Relations
	Youthful Spirit of Vietnamese Students Shines at Curtin, Western Australia

According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Australia, during the meeting, Acting Deputy Minister Karen highly valued the results of educational cooperation between Australia and Vietnam in recent years and thanked the Embassy of Vietnam for its support and coordination with the Australian Department of Education in promoting bilateral cooperation, including the activities of RMIT University in Vietnam. She also provided information on the Australian Government’s new policy for international students, including raising the enrollment cap by an additional 250,000 by 2026. Karen affirmed that Vietnam has always been a priority focus for the Australian Government and its international education sector.

For his part, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam congratulated Karen on being assigned the role of Acting Deputy Minister of Education of Australia and emphasized that education and training have always been one of the six pillars of cooperation between the two countries since Vietnam and Australia upgraded their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in March 2024. Ambassador Pham Hung Tam expressed the hope that Vietnam and Australia will create breakthroughs in education cooperation in the fields of science and technology and human resource development in the near future.

According to the plan, Australian Minister of Education Jason Clare will pay a visit to Vietnam at the end of 2025. The visit will focus on exchanging and sharing experiences in higher education, job opportunities for students, as well as vocational training and the development of cross-border education models.
