At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Brunei Do Thuy Duong stated that promoting cooperation in education and training and strengthening people-to-people exchanges, especially between the younger generations of the two countries, is one of the priorities during her term as Ambassador to Brunei.

Do Thuy Duong expects to further expand the Vietnamese language teaching program at the National University of Brunei Darussalam. She said it is one of the highlights in educational cooperation between the two countries, for example, expanding cooperation between the National University of Brunei Darussalam and several Vietnamese higher education institutions in areas of mutual interest.

For his part, Vice-Chancellor-General of the National University of Brunei Darussalam Dr. Hazri Kifle highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the National University of Brunei Darussalam and Vietnamese universities.

He stated that the National University of Brunei Darussalam has established cooperative relationships with several Vietnamese higher education institutions, including those within the Vietnam National University system, while also maintaining cooperation within the framework of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and other university networks and alliances.

Dr. Hazri Kifle expressed his hope that the Embassy would continue to support the connection, thereby contributing to promoting increasingly substantive and effective cooperation between the National University of Brunei Darussalam and Vietnamese universities.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to arrange an online meeting soon between the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei, the National University of Brunei Darussalam, and relevant Vietnamese higher education institutions to realize the discussed contents and promote the implementation of cooperation opportunities in the future.

By a stroke of fate, they have become “language ambassadors,” helping Vietnamese soar far and wide.
