The contest was organized by the Association of Vietnamese in the RoK, with the participation of students, parents, and the Vietnamese community in the RoK.

At the final round, the contestants delivered their presentations entirely in Vietnamese. The speeches covered topics such as “A picture completed with the colors of two countries” (Lee Tae Yoon), “Two countries, two languages, and me” (Seo Ji Seok), “A visit to Bonghwa Vietnamese Village” (Nguyen Hoang Nam), “Stories about Uncle Ho” (Vu Trinh Tue Chi), and “My dream of becoming a Viet Nam-RoK football player” (Be Tom)...

Through their performances, the children shared their thoughts on learning and using Vietnamese, as well as their connections with their families, culture, and Vietnamese homeland.

Speaking at the contest, Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK Nguyen Thi Thai Binh highly appreciated the initiative of the Association, as well as the participation of teachers and parents in creating an environment for the younger generation to learn and use Vietnamese.

According to Nguyen Thi Thai Binh, for children born and raised in the RoK, learning and using Vietnamese helps maintain their connection with their families, homeland, and Vietnamese culture.

President of the Association of Vietnamese in the RoK Dao Tuan Hung said that as the Vietnamese community continues to grow and more children are born and raised in the RoK, creating an environment where they can learn, use, and develop a love for Vietnamese plays an important role in preserving their identity and strengthening community ties. The Association hopes that the Vietnamese Oratory Contest will be held regularly, providing an additional platform for children to practice Vietnamese while also learning about Vietnam’s history, culture, and traditions.

Promoting Important Role of Vietnamese Youth in Japan The seminar titled “Vietnamese Youth in Japan – Resolution 23-NQ/TW, Promoting the Role of the Young Generation”, co-organized by the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Osaka (Japan) and Viet Nam-Japan Cultural and Educational Cooperation Promotion Center (VJCE) was recently held in Japan.

The Bonds Between People Are Why I Love Viet Nam Speaking about Viet Nam, where I currently live and work, brings me many emotions. What I notice most clearly about Ha Noi is the increasingly rapid pace of change across society. Residential complexes, shopping malls, roads and new bridges are continuously being built throughout the city. Some places have changed dramatically in just a few months. Particularly recently, it is easy to see that Hanoi is implementing major projects on drainage and water treatment to reduce flooding. This shows that the Government is taking urban infrastructure improvement very seriously.
