Vietnamese PM discusses COVID-19 measures with Australian PM

PM Phuc updated Morrison on the COVID-19 situation in Vietnam and shared Vietnam’s experiences as well as achievements fighting coronavirus. He briefed his Australian counterpart on the measures taken by the Vietnamese Government to prevent the spread of the disease.
He expressed thanks to the Government of Australia for offering technical support for Vietnam to mitigate negative impacts of the pandemic while affirming Vietnam is also ready to provide medical equipment support to Australia.
PM Morrison appreciated the efforts and measures taken by the Vietnamese Government to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic and mentioned the similarity between those measures and those implemented by the Australian government, according to Vietnam News.
He affirmed the wish to increase cooperation, experience sharing and mutual support with Vietnam, and the hope that Vietnam would keep up the production and export of essential goods in the context of international production and trade seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic..
The Australian PM said the Australian Government would create favourable conditions for Vietnamese students to continue studies in Australia, according to VGP News.
The Australian PM also highly valued the role and initiatives of Vietnam as the current ASEAN Chair, expressing the wish to continue supporting and collaborating over regional and international issues common concern, so as to promote cooperation in countering common challenges for the sake of peace, stability in the region and the world..
