Vinmec, Vinschool transformed into nonprofit
On September 27th, Vingroup announced its decision on the transformation of Vinmec, Vinschool into non-profit model, pledging to spend 100% of the profits to society.
This decision is to affirm the determination of Vingroup in contributing to the development of heath care and education in Vietnam, improving the quality of heathcare and training. Accordingly, 100% of the profits gained from Vinmec and Vingroup will be reinvested in developing human resources and upgrading infrastructure, equipment, funding for scholarships, science research, technology transfer, strengthening international cooperation.
Not only spending 100% of the profits to reinvest, Vingroup also pledged not to withdraw more than VND 4,000 billion which was invested in the construction of Vinmec and Vinschool across the country, including cost of infrastructure, equipment, laborers, technology transfer,…
To date, Vinmec heath care system has opened five branches in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Quang Ninh and one branch under being construction in Da Nang. For 4 years of operation, Vinmec has martured into a development model in the field of non-public heath care in Vietnam. Vinschool also became a large educational system with 13 thousand students.
With these two non-profit products, Vingroup is confirming its position, reputation and social responsibility, in line with the development trend of large enterprises around the world./.
