The feature provides an official, centralized, and convenient channel for the public and relatives of fallen soldiers to search for information and carry out procedures related to identifying their family members. It also supports information verification, helps reconnect relatives with the graves of fallen soldiers, and contributes to remembrance and gratitude efforts for those who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

To use the feature, users simply need to open the Level 2 VNeID application, select Other Services, choose Connect with Fallen Soldiers' Family Members, and enter the required information to conduct a search.

The Ministry of Public Security is currently working with the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Party committees and local authorities at all levels to accelerate the DNA analysis of biological samples collected from the remains of unidentified fallen soldiers. At the same time, the agencies are strengthening data connectivity and sharing to facilitate comparison and matching in support of identifying the remains of fallen soldiers.

VNeID (Vietnam Electronic Identification) is an electronic identification application developed by the Ministry of Public Security and officially launched on July 18, 2022. It was designed to replace various traditional paper documents in electronic transactions while providing a platform for citizens to access online public services.

To date, VNeID has integrated a wide range of personal documents, including citizen identity cards, driver's licences, health insurance cards, social insurance books, and other personal information. Users can present these electronic documents directly through the application when carrying out administrative procedures or other transactions in accordance with regulations.

VNeID Supports Voters in Looking Up Polling Stations and Candidate Lists On March 8, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) under the Ministry of Public Security announced that, in addition to checking polling station information on voter cards and the publicly posted lists at polling stations or commune-level People’s Committee offices, citizens can also access election-related information through the “Election of the 16th National Assembly” feature on the VNeID application.
