VNF - On October 20, Vice Chairman in charge cum Secretary General of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Don Tuan Phong received the delegation of the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) headed by Mr, James Chen, IGE Executive Director who are visiting and working in Vietnam from October 19-25, 2017.

At the meeting, Don Tuan Phong welcomed the delegation to visit Vietnam, to learn about the country and Vietnam - US relations.

The VUFO Vice Chairman introduced to the delegation the role and function of VUFO and the Vietnam-US Association in promoting relations between the people of Vietnam and other countries in general, with the American people in particular, contributing to the development of state relations.

Don Tuan Phong also informed the delegation about VUFO’s mission in Washington D.C in December.

On behalf of the IGE delegation, James Chen thanked Mr. Don Tuan Phong for taking the time to welcome the delegation. He hopes to have more cooperation between VUFO and IGE in the future.

The two sides agreed to jointly hold a round table conference and sign a memorandum of understanding on December 4 in Washington D.C.

During the visit to Vietnam, IGE will visit detoxification center, Phap Van Pagoda, Phat Diem Pagoda, Bai Dinh Pagoda and attend the conference on religion at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on October 23.
