The meetings, dialogues and exchange activities held as part of the event provided a platform for representatives from both sides to engage in open discussions, learn more about Viet Nam and the achievements of its renewal process, review the traditional friendship between Viet Nam and the Russian Federation, and discuss orientations for cooperation in the coming period.

One of the notable outcomes of the series of activities was the signing of memoranda of understanding on cooperation between the World Peoples Assembly and Vietnamese agencies, organizations and universities. The documents open up opportunities to promote cooperation in various fields, including socio-economic development, science and technology, tourism, culture and education, while laying the foundation for the development of specific programs and projects in the future.

Speaking at the event, Yulia Petrova, Deputy Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly, said the delegation had noted a number of important proposals to be included in the working minutes and expressed the hope that, with support and coordination from the Vietnamese side, these proposals would gradually be put into practice. During the discussions, the World Peoples Assembly delegation listened to and gained insights from the views and experience shared by its Vietnamese partners.

According to her, the outcomes of the visit exceeded expectations. The shared goal of both sides is to establish new forms of interaction among countries and effective cooperation mechanisms for implementing joint projects while harmonizing the interests of all parties.

The Russian side expressed its desire to continue receiving coordination and support from Viet Nam, viewing cooperation with Viet Nam as a valuable model that could serve as a reference for the World People's Assembly's activities with countries in the Asia-Pacific region in the coming period.

In his closing remarks, Dong Huy Cuong, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, said that after nearly three days of active work, conducted in a spirit of friendship, cooperation and a high sense of responsibility, the event “World Peoples Assembly Days in Viet Nam 2026” had successfully completed its entire planned program.

Looking back on the series of activities, Dong Huy Cuong affirmed that the meetings, dialogues and exchange activities had provided a space for sincere and open sharing. The Russian side had an opportunity to learn more about Viet Nam and the achievements of its renewal process; the two sides also reviewed their long-standing traditional friendship and engaged in frank and in-depth discussions on orientations for future cooperation.

Both sides agreed that people-to-people exchanges constitute a solid social foundation for building lasting trust among countries. Sincere bonds between people are a driving force for overcoming the challenges and changes of the times.

According to the Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the memoranda of understanding on cooperation between the World Peoples Assembly and Vietnamese agencies, organizations and universities represent a strong commitment to a new stage of partnership, with closer and more substantive ties, opening up opportunities for practical cooperation in areas such as socio-economic development, science and technology, tourism, culture and education.

The agreements signed lay the groundwork for specific programs and projects between Viet Nam and the Russian Federation in particular, as well as with countries around the world in general.

Building on the strong foundation of traditional friendship, the series of activities under “World Peoples Assembly Days in Viet Nam” is expected to create further momentum for new developments in future cooperation.

Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and World Peoples Assembly Maintain Regular Cooperation On August 26 in Hanoi, Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, received a courtesy visit from a delegation of the World Peoples Assembly led by Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly and a member of the UNESCO Committee of the Russian Federation. The two sides exchanged a number of proposals to maintain regular cooperation and expand connections in education, culture, local-level cooperation and the economy.
