Young People Contribute to Disaster Preparedness in Quang Tri

| Through the Youth Leadership Academy in Quang Tri Province, participants gained knowledge about natural disasters and practical skills in GPS use, information collection and community engagement. They applied these skills by surveying high-risk areas, identifying locations and consulting local residents. The activities are part of the ZCRA project, supported by Plan International Viet Nam and implemented in collaboration with the Quang Tri Red Cross, with funding from the Z Zurich Foundation. Information collected by the young participants will contribute to the development of a digital map of flash flood and landslide risks in Khe Sanh. The map is expected to help communities identify hazards, strengthen preparedness and improve disaster response. |

Through these activities, the aim is to promote information exchange, interaction, sharing of experiences in youth union work and the promotion of youth movements. |
