On June 8 in Hanoi, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), received Xian Hui, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), on the occasion of the delegation’s visit and working trip to Vietnam. The two sides agreed to further leverage their role as a bridge between the peoples of the two countries, promote the implementation of agreed areas of cooperation, contribute to deepening Vietnam-China relations, and realize the common understandings reached by the senior leaders of the two Parties and two States.

ASEAN should continue upholding the values that have underpinned its success - solidarity, resilience and unity in diversity, while embracing greater innovation in both thinking and action. The bloc should remain firm in its principles while becoming more agile in its responses to emerging challenges and opportunities, said PM Le Minh Hung.

On the morning of June 8 in Hanoi, the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union for the 2026-2031 term officially opened with the participation of 600 outstanding delegates representing nearly 10 million officials, members, and farmers nationwide.

According to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong, the ASEAN Future Forum 2026 (AFF 2026) will provide a platform for leaders, scholars, businesses, youth, and partners to discuss solutions for strengthening ASEAN centrality, enhancing resilience, and promoting people-centered development amid a rapidly changing regional and global landscape.
