At the medal awarding ceremony, Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, thanked Ambassador Hans-Peter Glanzer for his significant contributions to the multifaceted Vietnam-Austria relationship. The Ambassador has been instrumental in arranging high-level meetings and exchanges of delegations, as well as in organizing celebrations for key holidays and events between the two nations, such as the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam-Austria diplomatic relations on December 1, 2022, and the visit of Vietnam's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son to Vienna on September 28-29, 2022.
Ambassador Hans-Peter Glanzer consistently pays attention to the enhancement and fortification of the Vietnam-Austria relationship through people-to-people channels, fostering exchanges, interactions, and mutual understanding between the citizens of both nations. Throughout his tenure, numerous cultural, artistic, and musical exchange programs have been jointly held by the two countries. Additionally, the Ambassador has shown a keen interest in advancing Vietnam-Austria collaboration across trade, economic, scientific, research, and educational sectors.

The "For Peace and Friendship among Nations" Medal is a prestigious award from the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations. It acknowledges individuals' significant contributions to peace, solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the Vietnamese people and those of other nations.
Upon receiving the Medal, Ambassador Hans-Peter Glanzer expressed his honor. He said the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations serves as an effective platform for fostering people-to-people ties between Vietnam and Austria. Amidst complicated global situation, these people-to-people connections become ever more crucial, serving as a bridge to enhance cooperation in economics, investment, trade, education, culture, tourism, and more between the two nations.
