On the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (November 17, 1950 - November 17, 2025), on behalf of the Party Committee and the leadership of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and warmest congratulations to the members of the Standing Committee, members of the Presidium, leaders of member organizations at both central and local levels, and all comrades who have been and are directly engaged in people-to-people diplomacy within the system of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.

Over the past 75 years, under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and our Party, the system of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations has continuously grown stronger, affirming its key role in people-to-people diplomacy, serving as a bridge connecting the people of Vietnam with international friends for peace, solidarity, friendship, and cooperative development; making practical contributions to the cause of safeguarding, building, and developing the nation, and to international integration for the goals of a prosperous people and a strong, democratic, equitable, and civilized country.

I would like to express my profound gratitude to generations of leaders and officers engaged in people-to-people diplomacy across the entire system of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations at both central and local levels, who have always strived and made important contributions to the people-to-people diplomacy efforts of the Union.

As the country enters a new stage of development with increasingly high demands, I firmly believe that the team of officers working in people-to-people diplomacy throughout the system will continue to uphold our tradition, unite, join efforts and consensus to innovate thinking, content, approaches, and methods of operation; uphold the core role of the people-to-people diplomacy pillar; and build a strong and professional Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, contributing to the development of a comprehensive, modern, and professional diplomacy; promoting “Friendship and peace among the peoples of the world” as the aspiration of President Ho Chi Minh, and accompanying the nation to “steadfastly advance into a new era, an era of national rise,” as desired by General Secretary To Lam.
