Constructions around Ba Dinh Square
Apart from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square is surrounded by a perse range of historic constructions and tourist sites such as the Presidential Palace and one-pillar pagoda.
Surrounded by Hoang Van Thu, Hung Vuong, Doc Lap, Chua Mot Cot Streets, the space of Ba Dinh Square has expanded in other directions such as towards Bac Son and Dien Bien Phu Streets.
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is the central construction of the square. Each day, thousands of people queue to pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh.
The Presidential Palace, built in 1902, is one of constructions bringing ancient architect.
The building of the current Party Central Committee headquarters, built in 1919, is a campus of architectural blocks.
Ho Chi Minh Museum which was built after President Ho Chi Minh passed away, brings with it modern style.
The martyrs’ memorial site is situated on Bac Son Street. Completed in 1994, the memorial has architectural style and structure in harmony with the surrounding space.
One-pillar pagoda, an ancient architectural construction near Ba Dinh Square, was built in the Ly dynasty in 1049. The Pagoda underwent repairs; however, its structure remains original.
A house on stilts and pond belonging to President Ho Chi Minh relic is ranked as a special national relic.
The National Assembly building is the newest in the campus of Ba Dinh Square. The construction, completed in late 2014, was designed by German architects. This is a special construction of large scale which combines modern and traditional characteristics.
