Fernando González Llort, President of ICAP, said the message was sent in a year when Cuba commemorates the 100th birth anniversary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and a close friend of the Vietnamese people.
The head of ICAP expressed his gratitude for the support and solidarity extended to Cuba, particularly to ICAP, by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.

According to ICAP, the presence of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations at events in the region demonstrates solidarity with Cuba, while also reflecting the Union’s efforts to promote cooperation with other countries, strengthen bilateral relations, and advance people-to-people diplomacy.
ICAP expressed its confidence that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations will reach new heights in fulfilling its mission of strengthening solidarity and friendship with peoples around the world; promoting Viet Nam’s socio-economic development; and making a decisive contribution to upholding international justice, just causes, and the right of peoples to live in peace.
ICAP also wished the Congress every success, expressing its confidence that the Congress would set new goals for the next term and affirming that the two organizations would “work together to strengthen friendship and cooperation.”
| The National Congress of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2026-2031 term will take place on September 14, 2026, in Ha Noi. The Congress will review and comprehensively assess the implementation of the Resolution of the 2019-2026-term Congress; set out orientations and tasks for the 2026-2031 term; and consolidate the organization’s personnel and structure. |
