Da Nang city mobilizes over VND457 billion for social welfare work
Over the past 5 years, the Da Nang city association for poor and unlucky women and children has mobilized over VND457 billion to carry out social welfare work, bringing good results.

Accordingly, the association has helped to complete and put into use the city Cancer Hospital and the city Women’s Hospital to provide healthcare assistance for a large number of poor women and children, reducing and exempting medical treatment fees for poor female and child patients.
Realizing the target to help all poor children with congenital heart diseases be promptly cured, the association has provided heart check-ups for over 97,000 children, detecting over 1,000 cases of suspected congenital heart diseases, and operating on over 400 children.
In the next 5 years, the association plans to improve its social welfare work by encouraging domestic and foreign organizations and inpiduals to donate money and contribute efforts to care for poor women and unlucky children; and giving better treatment to women who contract cancer.
Addressing the meeting held on October 27thto review the association’s work over the past 5 years, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee Dang Viet Dung praised the association’s efforts in bringing more opportunities for unlucky children and assisting many female cancer patients by opening access to treatment./.
