Deputy PM works in Tra Vinh province
On September 8th, Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Trinh Dinh Dung and a delegation of the Government Office worked with key leaders of Tra Vinh province.

At the meeting, Dong Van Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Tra Vinh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee reported the advantages and disadvantages of Tra Vinh, the socio-economic situation in the first eight months of the year, and some proposals of the locality to the Government.
Leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Group gave details about electricity supply in the southern region from the start of the year, and the progress and capacity of supplying power from thermo-electric plants under the coastal thermo-electric centre today and in the future.
Participants also gave specific comments on assessments and forecasts related to the environment around thermo-electric plants and solutions for Tra Vinh’s socio-economic development in the 2016-2020 period.
In his speech, the Deputy PM hailed efforts of the locality in recent time, especially coordination with investors and constructors to effectively carry out some key projects, while also stressing some opportunities and challenges in the coming time as plants of the Coastal Thermo-electric Centre are put into operation simultaneously.
He asked Tra Vinh to focus on some crucial missions for socio-economic development in the near future, such as re-checking schemes, actively preventing climate change and restructuring the economy suitable to specific characteristics of the coastal province, especially agricultural restructuring./.
