On September 14, at the Dien Bien Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, the Dien Bien Department of Education and Training inaugurated a program comprising training, professional development, and field visits for officials from northern Lao provinces.

The training course comprises 14 participants, including nine officials from Oudomxay and five from Phongsaly. The curriculum focuses on the sectors of health; education and training; agriculture and the environment; science and technology; and culture, sports, and tourism.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien People's Committee Nguyen Van Doat emphasized the significance of cooperation between Dien Bien and the northern provinces of Laos, particularly regarding training and field-study course for officials.

He urged relevant agencies and units to coordinate closely, ensure thorough logistical preparations, and develop content that aligns closely with the participants' professional needs and fields of work. He also requested that lecturers, presenters, and host units facilitating field visits showcase effective models and practices while sharing the challenges and experiences encountered during their implementation.

The Vice Chairman of the Dien Bien People's Committee also urged the trainees to uphold a sense of responsibility, take the initiative in their studies, and strictly adhere to the training course's curriculum and regulations.

Dien Bien: Renewing Content and Methods of People-to-People Diplomacy On October 21, the Dien Bien Union of Friendship Organizations held its first congress for the 2025-2030 tenure. The congress reached a strong consensus on the direction of activities for the new term, emphasizing the need to raise awareness across the entire political system about the importance of people-to-people diplomacy; to renew the content and methods of operation; to promote the application of digital technology and modern communication; and to closely align activities with the goals of socio-economic development and the protection of national border sovereignty.

Maintaining National Standards in a Poor Highland Commune of Dien Bien Amid the many challenges of the highlands in Dien Bien, Sinh Phinh Semi-Boarding Primary and Lower Secondary Ethnic School has continued to uphold national standards, gradually improving education quality, keeping students in school, and laying a foundation for sustainable development in this particularly disadvantaged area.
