Discussing Solutions to Innovate Trade Union’s Emulation And Reward Work

Speaking at the forum, Tran Thanh Hai, standing vice president of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said

"In the coming time, emulation movements need to be practical and have specific goals. Only then can we attract union members and workers to participate.

The emulation movement "Good labor-creative labor" has been expanded into other emulation movements suitable to different types of occupations.

Tran Thanh Hai suggested that emulation movements need to fully meet the criteria of "specificity", "measurement", and "transparency" - in which the criteria of openness and transparency must be placed first.

In addition, trade unions at all levels need to use rewards as motivation to adjust emulation movements. The launch of the movement needs to be accompanied by summaries and rewards.

At the forum, many delegates contributed valuable opinions, focusing on assessing the current status of emulation and reward work of the Trade Union. Many shortcomings and limitations in the practical implementation of emulation and reward work were also raised.

Many delegates also raised suggestions on key solutions for emulation and reward work for the 2023-2028 term, such as identifying emulation and reward work as one of the important tasks of the Trade Union. Some other solutions include innovating the way of launching, implementing methods, and inspecting and urging emulation movements. The focus of emulation needs to be on the grassroots, associated with production and business tasks, improving labor productivity.
