On the morning of February 26, 2026, in Long Son Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, the Naval Region 2 Command, in coordination with the Long Son Commune Election Committee, organized early voting at the port for forces departing to carry out missions at sea. The event also marked the send-off of two working delegations aboard the ships Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21, under Naval Region 2, to conduct early voting for personnel stationed at the DK1 offshore platforms, vessels on duty, and Vietnamese fishermen currently operating at sea.
These are officers and soldiers who work day and night to stand guard, manage, and safeguard the sovereignty over the southern seas, islands, and continental shelf, thereby contributing to maintaining peace and stability on the nation’s frontline.

The organization by the Naval Region 2 Command of two vessels to carry out the election mission at sea reflects the close attention of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the focused leadership and direction of the Party Committee and Command of Naval Region 2 in ensuring the voting rights and obligations of officers and soldiers performing duties at sea.
This demonstrates a concrete manifestation of a high sense of political responsibility, as well as proactive and flexible implementation, ensuring that all officers and soldiers, despite being stationed amid the wind and waves at the nation’s frontline, are able to participate in this major national event in accordance with the law, in a safe, rigorous, and principled manner.
In the context of dispersed forces operating for extended periods at sea, the organization of vessels, personnel, and equipment to deliver ballot boxes to each offshore platform and vessel on duty has affirmed strong political determination and close coordination among agencies and units. At the same time, it contributes to educating and raising awareness and responsibility among officers and soldiers regarding the cause of national construction and defense, strengthening confidence, enhancing solidarity and unity, and successfully fulfilling the mission of safeguarding maritime and island sovereignty in the new situation.
In their core role of managing and protecting the sovereignty over the southern seas, islands, and continental shelf of the Fatherland, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 are deeply honored and proud to be the first unit in the country entrusted with the early voting mission. The Naval Region 2 Command has proactively and closely coordinated with the Long Son Commune Election Committee, thoroughly preparing to ensure that early voting at the port and at sea is conducted successfully, in full compliance with the law, and with absolute safety. Officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 have upheld democracy and heightened their sense of responsibility, selecting deputies of sufficient virtue, capability, and qualifications, worthy of representing the will and aspirations of the people, to be elected to the 16th National Assembly and the 11th Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council for the 2026-2031 term, thereby contributing to the overall success of the election and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.
