At the conference, Colonel Pham Duc Hung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Naval Academy, provided updates on current issues related to the mission of building and safeguarding Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty. The presentation focused on the position and role of seas and islands in national development and defense, while reaffirming the consistent policy of the Party and State to resolve maritime issues through peaceful means and in accordance with international law, thereby helping maintain a stable environment for national development.
The speaker also emphasized the concept of strategic autonomy in national defense in line with the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, as well as the ongoing modernization of the Vietnam People’s Navy to meet the demands of the new situation.

The conference also provided information on the Navy’s key achievements and upcoming tasks in safeguarding national maritime and island sovereignty, as well as the Naval Academy’s accomplishments in education, training, and scientific research. These achievements reaffirm the academy’s role as the country’s leading institution for training naval officers, who serve as the core force in protecting Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty.
A highlight of the event was the effective application of digital transformation in communication activities. The presentations were illustrated with video clips, graphic images, and dynamic visual displays. Authentic footage of the Vietnam People’s Navy’s training and combat readiness activities, along with images of the daily lives of officers and sailors serving in challenging maritime environments, deeply moved participants and helped foster national pride and a stronger sense of responsibility among officials and Party members.

Ho Van Muoi, Standing Deputy Head of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, said that the event was part of a cooperation program between the Naval Academy and the provincial commission to promote awareness of Vietnam’s seas and islands and attract human resources.
According to him, the conference provided timely updates on the latest achievements in firmly safeguarding the nation’s maritime and island sovereignty, serving as an important basis for provincial-level reporters to continue disseminating information widely among officials, Party members, and the public in the coming period.
