El Salvador interested in educational exchange with Vietnam

(VNF) - El Salvador wishes to cooperate with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) to organize study tours for students in Ho Chi Minh City.

The information was exchanged on this morning, Dec. 12 in Hanoi, during a meeting between Don Tuan Phong, Vice President and Secretary General of VUFO and Daniel Alexander Gutierrez Hernandez, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of El Salvador in India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

At the meeting, Mr. Don Tuan Phong introduced to the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of El Salvador about the functions and activities of VUFO in people-to-people diplomacy.

Accordingly, VUFO fulfills its mission of strengthening the friendship and solidarity with the peoples of the world and taking advantage of the support and sympathy of the people of the world for the revolutionary cause of Vietnam. Most countries in the world have friendship organizations with Vietnam. In El Salvador, the Solidarity Committee with the people of El Salvador has been operating since the 80s of the last century.

Don Tuan Phong stressed that Vietnam values peace. Vietnam is not only supporting peace for itself but also for the peace of all other nations in the world.

Before the question of Daniel Alexander Gutierrez Hernandez on the scope of people to people diplomacy, VUFO Vice President Don Tuan Phong said that the people's external activities cover a wide range of areas, from cultural exchanges, education, business travel, to travel. All these activities are aimed at helping people understand the culture, the country and the people of Vietnam.

Also at the reception, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc, Honorary Consul of El Salvador in Ho Chi Minh City expressed her interest in organizing study tours for students from the two countries. Accordingly, Vietnamese students can go to El Salvador to learn Spanish and El Salvador students can go to Vietnam.

Finally, Don Tuan Phong wished the Delegation good health and a successful business trip in Vietnam.
