Fishermen provided with updated marine safety knowledge
Nearly 100 fishermen in four communes of Tinh Gia district in the central province of Thanh Hoa were provided with knowledge on sea and islands as well as safety and communications at sea on July 13th.
According to the Vietnam News Agency, the training was introduced by the provincial border guard command and the central coast radio stations.
Fishermen received information on the East Sea, maritime agreements between Vietnam and other countries, Vietnam’s law on the sea and sovereignty over sea and islands, and other useful information.
The provincial border guard command and the central coast radio stations will open training classes for fishermen in 10 key communes in six coastal districts of Thanh Hoa in 2015, said the news agency./.
