Ha Huy Thong, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, former Head of the Advance Delegation to Open a Liaison Office in Washington, D.C. (USA), Vice President of the Vietnam-Netherlands Friendship and Cooperation Association, Member of the Vietnam Peace and Development Council - who directly attended the conference - recounted the milestones when the first "seeds of peace" were sown with trust and goodwill between the people of the two countries.
