According to the Hai Phong City Portal, the mobilized aid has helped supplement international resources to support the city's development objectives. At the same time, activities promoting peace, solidarity, friendship, and people-to-people exchanges have been carried out proactively and flexibly, while external communications have been gradually modernized through digital platforms.

After one year following the merger, the Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations has stabilized its organizational structure, streamlined and strengthened its team of full-time staff, and gradually consolidated the operations of its member organizations. However, improving the quality of grassroots activities, attracting younger members, and expanding its network of affiliated associations remain priorities requiring continued attention in the coming period.

For the second half of 2026, the Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations will intensify efforts to mobilize support from foreign non-governmental organizations, while ensuring that the receipt and use of aid are aligned with the city's development objectives as well as its political and foreign affairs priorities.

Priority areas include climate change response, sustainable livelihood development, education, healthcare, and digital transformation. These sectors are closely linked to people's daily lives and require greater mobilization of international resources, expertise, and solutions.

The Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations will also diversify the content and formats of people-to-people exchanges, enhance the quality of external communications, develop a database of international partners, strengthen connections with Hai Phong natives living abroad, and better leverage the resources of the overseas Vietnamese community.

Alongside completing the restructuring and consolidation of its member organizations, the Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations will accelerate digital transformation and apply the "six clarities" principle in task assignment: clear personnel, clear responsibilities, clear timelines, clear accountability, clear deliverables, and clear authority.
