In his letter, Governor A.D. Beglov wrote: “Eighty years ago today, the destiny of the Vietnamese nation turned to a new chapter. The Vietnamese people overcame hardships and trials, demonstrating profound solidarity and determination to reclaim the country’s freedom and sovereignty. Today, Vietnam moves forward with full confidence, steadfastly upholding the sound ideals of President Ho Chi Minh.”

According to Governor Beglov, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations plays an important role in the country’s development: “The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations have not only mobilized the collective strength within the country but also expanded comprehensive cooperation with international partners, building reliable bridges among millions of people while preserving enduring core values such as peace, mutual respect, and equality.”

The Saint Petersburg leader highly valued the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations’ contributions to promoting Vietnam-Russia cooperation and expressed confidence in the continued success and comprehensiveness of joint efforts between the two sides.

Concluding his letter, Governor Beglov wished President Phan Anh Son boundless enthusiasm in his noble mission and emphasized that people-to-people diplomacy would continue to contribute to building an independent and strong Vietnam.
