As part of the visit, the delegation held a working session with the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA).

At the meeting, Dr. Tran Hai Linh, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association, and Founding Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Experts and Intellectuals Association (VKEIA), presented an overview of the Association's establishment and development, highlighting its notable achievements in fostering investment, trade, science and technology, innovation, local-level cooperation, and mobilizing the intellectual and entrepreneurial resources of the Vietnamese communities in Vietnam and the RoK.

In recent years, the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association has implemented numerous cooperation programs with ministries, sectors, and localities of both countries. These initiatives have promoted investment facilitation, business networking, technology transfer, human resource development, and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to more substantive and effective economic cooperation between Vietnam and the RoK.

Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy highly commended the Association's achievements, particularly its role in connecting businesses, localities, organizations, and the peoples of the two countries.

According to Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy, as the Vietnam-RoK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership continues to develop robustly across all sectors, social organizations, business associations, and overseas Vietnamese communities play an important role in effectively implementing the Party's and the State's foreign policy, thereby helping strengthen the foundation of friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

He acknowledged the Association's practical and innovative activities in promoting investment, trade, technology transfer, local cooperation, cultural exchanges, and support for the Vietnam–Korea business community.

In addition, the Association has carried out various initiatives in support of the homeland, including assistance for people affected by natural disasters and floods, support for those facing hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic, and activities demonstrating solidarity with Vietnam's seas and islands.

The Association's programs have also helped promote Vietnam's image, strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, trade, culture, education, science and technology, while reinforcing solidarity and enhancing the standing of the Vietnamese community in the RoK.

Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy called on the Association to continue serving as a strategic bridge linking businesses with central agencies, ministries, sectors, localities, and the peoples of both countries. He also encouraged the Association to take an active role in implementing the Party's major policies and resolutions on private sector development, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

At the same time, he urged the Association to expand its network connecting Vietnamese entrepreneurs, intellectuals, experts, and young people in the RoK, thereby effectively mobilizing overseas Vietnamese resources for the country's development.

Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy expressed his hope that the Association would continue to work closely with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, its member organizations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK, as well as agencies and localities of both countries to implement in-depth cooperation programs that generate greater practical value for the Vietnam-Korea business community and the peoples of the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Songdo International Business District in Incheon, where they learned about the RoK's experience in urban planning, modern urban governance, digital economy development, digital transformation, free economic zone development, and the building of innovation ecosystems.

The delegation also visited several local cultural and economic institutions to exchange experience on sustainable development, improving the quality of urban governance, and strengthening social oversight and policy feedback.

On this occasion, the delegation held talks with the RoK's Economic, Social and Labor Council (ESLC). Both sides highly appreciated the progress made in their cooperation, particularly in sharing experience on social dialogue, policy consultation, and enhancing the role of representative organizations in building social consensus and promoting sustainable development.

During the discussions, the two sides explored and proposed areas of cooperation, as well as a roadmap for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in early 2027 in Vietnam.

Both sides agreed that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding would reaffirm their shared commitment to elevating substantive cooperation between the two organizations, thereby strengthening the foundation of Vietnam-RoK friendship and promoting the participation of social organizations in the sustainable development of each country.
