Hanoi: Firework display to be back for New Year celebration
(VNF) – Fireworks display will be held in 5 high-height spots and 25 low-height ones in Hanoi, on occasion of the new year 2018, according to the Hanoi municipal People's Committee.

5 high-height will be Hoan Kiem Lake, Unification Park (Hai Ba Trung Dist.), Lac Long Quan garden (Tay Ho Dist.), Van Quan lake (Ha Dong Dist.) and My Dinh stadium (Tu Liem Dist.).
Meanwhile, the 25 low-height locations will be in 25 districts and communes in the city, with the exact location to be decided by local authorities.
The municipal People's Committee also sent document to request the city's police force and the Hanoi Capital High Command (under the People's Army of Vietnam) to ensure security and order at the firework display venues.
In the New Year 2017, along with other 62 provinces and cities, Hanoi did not celebrate the occasion with firework displays. The expense for firework display was used to support the needy people in the country, following the direction of the Central Party./.
