	Vietnam Ranks First in Number of Foreigners with Long-Term Stays in RoK

According to the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK, Ambassador Vu Ho, speaking at the conference, stated that Vietnam-RoK cooperation is currently possessing all three elements of "favorable timing, geographical advantage, and human harmony" to enter a new phase of development.

"The opportune moment" refers to the strong political determination of the high-level leaders of both countries. In the exchanges between General Secretary and President To Lam and President Lee Jae-myung, both leaders affirmed their determination to develop the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a deeper, more substantive, and more effective way, with economics, investment, science and technology, and innovation being key driving forces.

"The geographical advantage" is that Vietnam is entering a new phase of development with a new territory, a new foundation, and new aspirations. Strong reforms in institutions, organizational structures, strategic infrastructure, digital transformation, and science and technology are opening up broader development opportunities for localities and the business community.

Hung Yen province emerges as a locality with rich potential, a favorable location, increasingly improved infrastructure, and a strong determination to improve the investment environment.

"Human harmony" refers to the decisive involvement of the Government, ministries, departments, and localities, along with the strong aspiration for advancement of the Vietnamese business community.

Vietnamese businesses today not only want to attract capital, he said, but also aspire to master technology, improve management capabilities, participate more deeply in global supply chains, build brands, and gradually expand into the world.

The Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK will continue to work alongside Hung Yen province in connecting with KOTRA, Korean associations, investment funds, corporations, and businesses, contributing to turning cooperation opportunities into concrete, effective, and sustainable projects. Ambassador Vu Ho conveyed a message to the business community: "Capital can find profitable places. New value is what creates the future."

The conference provided an opportunity for RoK's businesses to gain a deeper understanding of the investment environment, development orientation, and priority projects of Hung Yen province, while also expanding direct connections with Vietnamese agencies, industrial parks, and businesses. Also, it contributes to promoting Vietnam - RoK investment and trade cooperation in a substantive and effective manner, linked to innovation, technology transfer, human resource development, and enhancing the capacity to participate in global value chains.

Previously, the People's Committee of Hung Yen province and the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam) held a working session with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Novatech Company, the ASEAN-Korea Center (AKC), and others.
