Ibaraki Prefecture (Japan) to invite more Vietnamese workers
Ibaraki Prefecture and Vietnam are teaming up to invite more Vietnamese workers to help ease the labor shortage in the region.

Ibaraki Governor Kazuhiko Oigawa will visit Hanoi for three days from November 25 to sign a memorandum of understanding with Vietnamese officials.
The document is expected to state that both governments will cooperate on human resource development and make appropriate arrangements for transferring people.
It is also likely to say that officials will work to create an environment so that Vietnamese can feel secure working in the region, and provide support when they return to Vietnam.
Oigawa is expected to meet other senior Vietnamese officials to explain that Ibaraki Prefecture is an attractive place to live.
Ibaraki is promoting measures to attract more workers from other countries. In April, the prefecture opened a support center for foreign workers.
