	Belgian Media Praises Lim Festival’s Vibrant Folk Culture

On March 10, the Indonesian press widely reported on the state visit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and his spouse, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) Prabowo Subianto.

The national news agency Antara, Kompas newspaper, and several other outlets detailed the grand welcoming ceremony for General Secretary To Lam, his spouse, and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation at the Presidential Palace - Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on March 10. The state-level reception, conducted with the highest protocol, was described and accompanied by numerous photographs.

Indonesian newspapers also reported on the preceding events. Tempo newspaper published an article emphasizing that at the event commemorating Vietnam's 30th anniversary of ASEAN membership at the ASEAN Secretariat headquarters. During this gathering, ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn emphasized Vietnamese Party Chief To Lam's role in guiding Vietnam and contributing to ASEAN during turbulent times.

Liputan6 quoted ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn’s statement: "Under the leadership of General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam is entering a new era of national development."

The media also cited General Secretary To Lam’s policy speech at the ASEAN Secretariat, where he outlined several strategic directions for enhancing ASEAN's prestige and role in the coming period. These include ensuring strategic autonomy and flexibility to better adapt to challenges amidst strategic competition, strengthening economic resilience, promoting the bloc’s identity and values through enhanced cultural connections and people-to-people exchanges, establishing behavioral norms to harmonize regional relationships based on balance, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation, and focusing on resolving internal issues to support Myanmar’s stability and development and Timor Leste’s roadmap to full ASEAN membership.

Besides, the Indonesian media also reported on Party General Secretary To Lam and his spouse's attendance at a concert marking the 70th anniversary of Vietnam-Indonesia diplomatic relations held on March 3 at Cipucha Theater.
