According to the Ambassador, the driving force behind this significant progress lies in the strong foundation of existing bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. Alongside artistic connections through music and cinema, education plays an essential role and represents “the most direct and effective means of connecting people from an early age, particularly young people and the future workforce.”
Addressing the Vietnamese and Italian students attending the event, the Ambassador affirmed that connections between the younger generations of the two countries are just as important as government-level diplomacy. It is these young people who will carry forward, lead, and nurture Viet Nam-Italy relations in the future.
Ambassador Marco Della Seta also offered advice to Nguyen Sieu students preparing to embark on exchange programs in Italy, encouraging them to broaden their perspectives and experience new cultures, lifestyles, and approaches to learning, thereby gaining a deeper appreciation of the world's diversity.
The Ambassador expressed his hope that, following their exchange experiences, Italian students returning to Siena and Nguyen Sieu students visiting Italy would continue to cherish their affection for one another, share their fond memories, and serve as “young ambassadors” connecting the people of the two countries through friendship.
