Japanese Film Festival 2017 to open in Vietnam
(VNF) - The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam announced the Japanese Film Festival 2017 will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City from October 27th – November 11th.
Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Romance, Animation...11 new films, which are made after 2015, will be screened at cinemas in three cities.

Survival Family (Comedy): The Suzukis are an average household living in Tokyo. One day, electricity suddenly disappears?! TVs, refrigerators, smartphones and computers…everything requiring electricity comes to a total halt!
Japanese Film festival already becomes a popular annual event in autumn and winter of the Japan Foundation.
The organisers hoped that many audiences will enjoy these Japanese films and deepen their interest in Japan through the Japanese Film Festival 2017.
All films will be screened with both English and Vietnamese sub-titles.
The admission fee in HCMC and Hanoi is VND 30,000 (USD 1.32) each screening. In Danang, admission is free but audience is advised to obtain free tickets at following venues.
11 films include An (screening in HN and HCMC only); Tsukiji Wonderland (screening in HCMC only); Her Love Boils Bathwater; Long Excuse; Rudolf: The Black Cat; Asian Three-Fold Mirror 2016: Reflections; Tora-san of Goto; Daytime Shooting Star; ReLIFE; Survival Family; and Honnouji Hotel.

An (Drama): Sentaro is an owner of a small street side stand-alone pancake shop. One day Sentaro finds himself confronted an odd but sympathetic old lady looking for work. At first he rejects the woman despite her effort to convince him. Nevertheless, a taste of her homemade bean paste itself later on changes his mind.
