Rafał A. Łuszczewski, from Poland, represents the pinnacle of artistic credentials as a Steinway-affiliated performer with more than 25 years of global experience and a specialized reputation for excellence in Chopin’s repertoire.
Meanwhile, pianist Nguyen Viet Trung will perform as a prominent figure of the contemporary generation of Vietnamese artists. He won first prize at the National Piano Festival in Poland (2021), participated in the Chopin International Piano Competition in Poland, and performed on many major stages in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Nguyen Viet Trung is an artist whose stylistic versatility and delicate touch have established him as an excellent interpreter of both Chopin and the wider classical canon.
The program “The Flow of Music” consists of two parts. Part I, performed by artist Nguyen Viet Trung, begins with works by Franz Schubert such as Impromptu Op. 90 No. 1 & 2, followed by Prokofiev's Sonata No. 3. The artist also performs representative works by Chopin including Ballade No. 4 in F minor and Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise Brillante Op. 22.
Part II, performed by Rafał A. Łuszczewski, offers a contemplative musical space with Brahms' Rhapsody Op. 79 No. 1, along with familiar works by Chopin such as Waltz Op. 34, Nocturne Op. 15, and Scherzo No. 3. The program concludes with Richard Addinsell's "Warsaw Concerto," a deeply moving piece that reveals the historical and cultural depth of Europe.
“The Flow of Music” is structured as a continuous artistic journey, featuring masterpieces by great composers performed by two generations of artists. The program promises to be a subtle dialogue in music, serving as a bridge to deepen the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Poland, while offering the public a top-tier artistic experience in the setting of the Ho Guom Opera House - a symbol of Vietnam's and the region's new cultural institution.
