KFHI Funds VND 5 Billion Project to Improve Life in Dong Duong
The Da Nang City People's Committee has approved the acceptance of the project "Child-Focused Community Transformation - CFCT (Phase I)" in Dong Duong Commune, funded by Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI) of the Republic of Korea. The project has a total budget of more than VND 5 billion and will be implemented through September 2031.

Under the decision, the entire amount of VND 5.0088 billion, equivalent to USD 198,423, is non-refundable aid provided by KFHI. The Da Nang City Union of Friendship Organizations is the project owner.

The project focuses on improving the quality of life of children, families and communities in Dong Duong Commune by increasing access to education and healthcare services, promoting sustainable livelihoods, protecting children and strengthening community capacity, thereby contributing to sustainable socio-economic development in the locality.
Expected outcomes include supporting children's comprehensive physical, mental and social-emotional development; improving educational conditions and quality; and increasing the community's access to essential services, better living conditions and livelihoods. The project also includes strengthening disaster preparedness and risk reduction capacity.
School and community leaders will have their capacity strengthened to mobilize resources, organize community development activities and address practical issues in the locality.
The Da Nang City Union of Friendship Organizations has been assigned to take the lead in receiving, managing and supervising project implementation, ensuring that it is carried out in accordance with the approved contents and relevant legal regulations.

The Bonds Between People Are Why I Love Viet Nam
Speaking about Viet Nam, where I currently live and work, brings me many emotions. What I notice most clearly about Ha Noi is the increasingly rapid pace of change across society.
