Korean guitar prodigy Sungha Jung to return to Vietnam on another performance tour

The 21-year-old talented Korean guitarist Sungha Jung will perform two concerts at Vietnam’s Youth Theatre in Hanoi on August 26th and at HCMC Conservatory of Music in Ho Chi Minh City on August 27th.

(VNF) - The 21-year-old talented Korean guitarist Sungha Jung will perform two concerts at Vietnam’s Youth Theatre in Hanoi on August 26th and at HCMC Conservatory of Music in Ho Chi Minh City on August 27th.

This is the fourth consecutive year of touring in Vietnam for Sungha Jung.

Being an excellent representative for the fingerstyle guitar genre, the 21-year-old lad from the Republic of Korea will bring forth a new, young, refined, emotional musical atmosphere with his own compositions and arrangements.

Master the guitar at the age of 5, Sungha Jung was known as a “Korean guitar prodigy” and became very famous, especially on Youtube. Over 15 achievement he gained on Youtube, there are 6 “No. 1” achievement. Composed and arranged many songs with persified style, Sungha Jung released 7 albums and the newest is “Mixtape” (2017 May).

Fingerstyle, a new genre of solo guitar music in Vietnam, has been thriving in recent years. One simple way of describing this genre is that with only a single guitar a performer can play as if he is an entire band. Fingerstyle brings about a whole new perspective for the acoustic guitar and is currently drawing attention for the guitar-music genre from our community.

Sungha Jung has been known and admired by Vietnamese audiences mainly for his songs on Youtube within 10 years so far. He is also the first foreign fingerstyle guitarist to perform in Vietnam.

Concerts will take place at the Youth Theatre of Vietnam (11 Ngo Thi Nham Str., Hai Ba Trung Dist.) and HCMC Conservatory of Music (112 Nguyen Du Str., Dist. 1)

Tickets, ranging from VND 600,000 (USD 26.4), VND 800,000 (USD 35.2), VND 1,000,000 (USD 44), VND 1,200,000 (USD 52.8) to VND 1,600,000 (USD 70.4) are available at ticketbox.

SVIP ticket includes Photo Session (one by one) with the artists at 6:30 pm in the concert night and an autographed CD of lastest album “Mixtape” 2017. Audience who want to join the Signing Session after the concert can do so by buying artists’s CD at the concert (signature is only for this CD or your guitar, ukelele).

Children under age 6 are not allowed in the concert./.
