Marine communications devices provided for fishermen in Quang Ngai province
The Quang Ngai provincial Red Cross on January 11th presented 35 marine communications devices to fishing vessels’ owners in Duc Pho and Mo Duc districts.

Each fishing vessel owner received a device, worth more than VND12.4 million.
Together with fishermen in Mo Duc and Duc Pho districts, 20 fishermen in Quang Ngai city and 10 others in Ly Son Island district will also be given 30 devices.
The devices, worth a total of more than VND811 million, were bought with capital raised in the program “Linking the East Sea” launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee and relevant agencies to encourage assistance from agencies and inpiduals.
According to Le Truong Son, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Ngai provincial Red Cross, with these devices, fishing vessels at sea can contact each other and contact authorised agencies more easily in case of problems./.
