Cleo recently went missing from Olathe, Kansas, and ended up in an unlikely location — her family's previous residence in Lawson, Missouri, where they had not lived for nearly two years.

Mr. Drew’s family – the owner of Cleo - moved to Olathe, Kansas state from Lawson, Missouri two years ago. However, with such a sublime memory, the dog has crossed over 90km to return to the house she used to live in.

“We found the dog lying in the front porch when I and my wife just came home from work”, Colton Michael, the new Lawson homeowner, said.

"Just laying there, waiting for somebody it seemed like," Michael told Cleo.

Cleo went missing without wearing any collar but didn’t look like a stray dog. Michael and his wife then decided to scan for further information and found a microchip pinned under the dog’s skin and were able to contact Drew via Facebook.

"I told him that we found his dog, but once I told him where we were, he was kind of taken aback," Michael recalled. “It turned out that the house we’re staying in used to belong to Drew, in other words, this is the dog’s old house”, Michael said.

Upon knowing Cleo’s whereabouts after one week went missing, Drew’s family was speechless. According to Drew, Cleo must have had to travel 57 miles door to door from Kansas to Missouri — a journey that somehow included crossing a river or a traffic-packed bridge.

“However, we’re very happy that we found our beloved pet safe and sound”, Drew told KMBC. “It just feels really good to be reunited with her. Really, she's everything to us."
