Closing Ceremony of 5th International Conference: Four Key Orientations to Enhance Effectiveness of Non-Governmental Aid in Vietnam
On the afternoon of December 4 in Hanoi, the 5th International Conference on Cooperation between Vietnam and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), themed “Partnership for Prosperity and Sustainable Development,” concluded after a full day of discussions. The Conference identified four orientations for the next phase, emphasizing the need to strengthen mobilization effectiveness, shift from scattered to focused geographical areas, improve the legal environment, and enhance staff capacity to meet Vietnam’s requirements for sustainable and prosperous development.
Focusing on Green Growth, Digital Transformation, and Enhancing Local Capacity
Within the framework of the 5th International Conference on Cooperation between Vietnam and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), partners for prosperity and sustainable development, held on December 4, numerous foreign NGOs along with central and local agencies proposed strengthening coordination, expanding public-private cooperation, improving legal facilitation, and enhancing financial flexibility to increase aid effectiveness. Key priorities for the coming period include green growth, digital transformation, climate adaptation, support for women and vulnerable communities, smart agricultural development, and strengthening local capacities.
